I'll certainly take a look at the video. I enjoyed the gewurtztraminer from Martha Clara I brought back home to Quebec after Tastecamp. Very classic, nicely aromatic, fun to drink.

Remy,

Rob Barlow,

Recently Martha Clara Vineyards' winemaker, Juan Eduardo Micieli-Martinez, has begun making a video series known as the Juan-Maker.

In the series the Juan-Maker discusses his wines, usually highlighting a different wine each episode, in a very non-traditional, fun kind of way. You'll see when you watch it. Along with the wines, the Juan-Maker will also be highlighting different aspects of Martha Clara Vineyards, along with the winemaking process itself.

Hopefully you enjoy the videos, there are many more to come, and you can view them at our youtube channel: www.youtube.com/juanmaker

The name Matassa is the name of the first vineyard that Tom Lubbe acquired when he started his winery: Clos Matassa. As to the exact meaning of the name Matassa, it's a bit lost in time, like many of the place namess in such regions.

Hello, I stumbled across your wonderful posts about Matassa. Was just wondering, if you know, could you kindly tell me the significance of the name "Matassa", what it means, et al?

Merci,

Too bad we didn't meet at the event Remy, particularly after that exchange over the mutineer (from the expected protocol of Joel's Network). Next time.

I am Max morales from Open Wine Consortium and I was wondering if we could publish some of your former columns or articles in http://www.andeswines.com considering we have great contacts in Canada.

We can translate into spanish your article too and add it to our newsletter.

We have a newsletter that reaches several wineries in canada and wine gate keepers.

Please, let me know if you are interested.
